How odd, a new post!

Greetings and salutations to the two of you that read this blog!
I ought to get one of those visitor indicators that tell me if anyone gives a crap about the infrequent posts that go here....

Anyway, happenings recently:
I have spent most of the month of April living in South Florida. No, Sarah has not kicked me out of the house. I was in Miami for work, and then we decided it was time for us to go on vacation.
My fly hunny had taken a phone call informing her that she had won a cruise, so we arranged that we'd take the free cruise. It ended up costing us about $500 for the week, but not too shabby.
We left from Palm Beach, Florida (about an hour and a half drive from Miami) and went to Grand Bahama Island in the Caribbean. We stayed at a FABULOUS resort there called "Our Lucaya" for a couple of days. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take a really relaxing trip to the Caribbean.
We vacation "boring" so we were very relaxed when we came home. Lots of naps and a few snorkeling tours made it a great trip.

Interestingly enough, I flew back and forth from here to Miami three times last month: once on the third of April, came home that Friday; flew to Fort Lauderdale on the 11th, came home the following Sunday; flew to Miami on the 19th and came home that Friday. Lots of time in the airport and airplanes. Good thing I learned a while ago that I need to bring/start a book when I go on a trip. I read two books (The Firm and Jurassic Park) during my travels.

Fun fact on my last Miami trip: We were delayed from Dallas (again, another reason to bring a good book) due to rain/lightning/tornado warnings, and I didn't get into Miami until about midnight Eastern time. I went to the rental car agency to pick up my car, and waited in line for about 20 minutes while they took care of some international folks who were renting. I guess the guy felt sorry for me for waiting so long to get a car, because this is what I was driving around in Miami for the week:
Little more horsepower than a Civic Hybrid (and lots more fun to drive)!
I took my talents to South Beach!

About Me

My photo
I was born and raised in Utah, but then, after marrying the most wonderful woman in the world, packed up and moved to Texas. We love it here and have often told people it would take an act of God to move us from this place!
